This website has been established for
the purpose of “old kids” who lived at The Home to
“reunite” and to rekindle old friendships and for the sharing of
stories and life there. The
orphanage was founded in the late 1800’s and is still around
today. There have been
thousands of children who passed through The Home since
the beginning and whose lives were made better by the Home’s
strong commitment to education, religion and strong work ethic.
This
is your website and we encourage each of you who lived at The
Home to enter frequently and be sure to leave your information so
others can find you. Your
comments and involvement to it's content is welcomed.
Just send us an email……..If you know the whereabouts of
your old friends, please contact them and encourage them to leave
their information here on the site as well, so others can find them.
There was not an “old kid” who wasn’t affected in one way or
another by “living at the Home”.
While there, some disliked being placed there, most today look
back and are very much appreciative of their stay at The Home and the
education and life experiences they received.
In most cases, being raised at The Home saved the lives of
some children and steered the rest of us on the right path to having a
successful and fruitful life, despite the fact that every one of us
came there under stressful and trying times. The
Home took us in with open arms and provided us with a great religious
background, discipline, pride and how to work as a team to the
greater benefit of us all.
To all the house parents (matrons), work leaders and administrators of The
Home, we thank you for all you did to make us better citizens and for
providing the vision to excel at what we do.
We are eternally grateful!!
